Skinnidip yogurt is designed to be an easily readable resource on all things yogurty! Yogurt is our passion and and we’ll endeavour to update this site with as much information as we possibly can about yogurt recipes, yogurt facts and nutritional information.
Yogurt as a foodstuff has been in existence since the nomadic tribes of central Asia accidentally fermented milk inside their goatskin bags. This dates it reliably to around 6000 BC. So it’s pretty old. Genghis Khan and his hordes stormed around Asia and Eastern Europe living on a diet of yogurt (while rampaging and slaughtering) so it must be good stuff. It probably tastes a bit better now though – Genghis never had a yogurt strawberry smoothie or potted mackerel with melba toast, or maybe he did and just didn’t revel his secret recipes.
